Rivers Shore is experimental work — cinematography freed from a client brief, exploring water, texture and light for their own sake.
Without commercial constraints the camera gets to ask different questions: how slow can a frame be, how abstract can texture become before it stops reading, what does light do at the edge of water. Frames were composed like moving paintings — long, patient, exact.
Every cinematographer needs a lab. Self-initiated films like this are mine, and the visual risks taken here feed directly back into the commissioned work.
